South Cheshire College Project

Back in December of 2008  We were asked to carryout the production of a project specific J42 specification

Each roof was to be  comprised of a different build-up/design, numbering 10 in total and needed to be a  complete project in 2010

Original specification asked for a single ply membrane to all flat roofs, and a Kalzip roof to the large curved roof area at front of building.

Communication Saves Trouble

Earlier in 2010 we called a pre contract meeting with the main contractor, roofing contractor, installer and solar supplier/installer.

Knowing that solar panels were to be installed on this roof, we decided to call this meeting to clarify positioning of RENOLIT ALKORSOLAR profiles and orientation of membrane.

Gaining the pitch of solar panels, direction of panels and number of panels we established an appropriate fixing pattern.

The Pods leisure centre

Client: The Pods Leisure Centre and Central Park
Type of works: The RENOLIT ALKORPLAN system has been used to waterproof each dome

Funded by North Lincolnshire Council, Yorkshire Forward and Sport England, the £21m Pods and Central Park project will become a sporting centre of excellence; a hub that will function not only as a leisure facility for the whole community surrounding Scunthorpe, but will also deliver sports education and leadership training.
